Like most clothes, there are coats for both genders. If you're on the lookout for coats for winters, you should be aware of different coats for men available in the market.

The most commonly known coats these days are trench coats. They are heavy-duty coats made of different materials like leather and cotton. They usually have an insulated lining and are knee-length. Leather trench coats are made of soft Napa leather. They are double breasted with a zip-out pile lining and full nylon lining; as a result, you will be kept warm in winter. They also have shoulder epaulets and adjustable cuff straps. Their slash pockets and waist belt give a pretty stylish look.

If you are looking for car coats, then leather car coats are up for grabs. These coats are made of ultra-soft lambskin leather and have an insulated lining. How to Choose a Good Men's Coat by Looking at Figures

Sherwood Ragley Mens Full Length 100% Waterproof Coat

Are you a man who's tired of looking mediocre because of the clothes you pick? Well, not many people know but a man can be as fashionable as a woman can be. One of the best ways to achieve this is to get good outerwear. This is one of the things people notice about a person. There are tons of coats and jackets for men out there which exemplify both functionality and fashion. Now, men do not have to worry about picking one over the other.

Since it's common sense that outerwear is commonly for warmth purposes, one should also take into consideration body type and style as factors in choosing. There are certain body shapes that men have, just like women do.

The perfect figure that a man can have is an inverted triangle. A man who has this has broad shoulders and a wide chest. Most men would kill for this because with this type of shape, one will be able to wear anything they like.

A man who has the a straight figure - where the shoulders and waists are aligned - should check out coats which have extra detailing on the shoulders. This will help give them broader looking shoulders and a good looking shape.

Yet another is the pear shape. This is where they seem to have some bulges at the waist. This is one of the hardest figures to cover up. For men who have this, they should get shorter coat because long ones may emphasize this more than hide it. All in all, these are the main figures that men have. In choosing a good coat for men, these are the things they have to remember.

How To Find A Quality Men's Coat

By Clair O'Hara
Choosing a winter jacket can be quite a daunting task when there's endless choice on the high-street and online. The choice becomes a lot harder if you are choosing to spend a large sum of money on a coat to last you several seasons.

When searching for your coat the first factor you should consider is the quality. Choose quality over quantity - don't go for a cheap option unless the material is durable and you think it will last. Finding a bargain is a great feeling but when it starts falling apart a few weeks later the great feeling soon turns to annoyance. Throwaway fashion is all well and good, especially for the basics, but just remember it's exactly what it says: throwaway - don't expect it to last you a long time. The garments are usually cheaper because the material isn't as good as more expensive and durable items. Sometimes it's better to delve into your pockets and splash the cash on an expensive piece of clothing, especially a purchase as important as a winter coat or jacket.
Those who say you 'pay for the label' are often right but you're paying for the label for a reason. Labels gain their prestige through years of creating quality products, take Barbour and Folk Clothing for example - both are brands that have gained a lot of popularity due to their high quality of products. Barbour has always been popular but more so now than ever.

You don't always have to rinse your wallet when searching for quality names, a good place to search for Barbour jackets is on the internet because you can usually pick up cheaper brand names online than offline. Brand name jackets are usually favoured by men because as well as being stylish, they are also very practical and durable. Barbour sources its materials from around the world but its wax jackets are still handmade and have been since 1894. This proves the brand has longevity and is consistent in creating good quality outerwear.

Seams and hems will always be sewn straight on a high quality jacket and the hem should be wide to leave room for alterations should you need to make changes. All buttons, zips and fasteners should be sewn on securely and not half falling off. They shouldn't be easy to pull off (although we don't recommend you try pulling them off, maybe just a little tug to test them!). Another sign of a quality jacket is that it will have a lining made from quality materials and it should never be tight, it should hang a little loosely to give you room and so it doesn't rip and tear.

So if you're looking to treat yourself to a long-lasting coat or jacket then look out for quality and not quantity, and also hunt online to find some brand name bargains. You'll usually find brand names are far cheaper on the internet than on the high-street so have a good search and grab yourself a quality coat without spending the world.
